We think getting the Social Media Lab’s research out into the world is important. We’ve collaborated with ACT for Youth, an online resource center for educators and youth development professionals in New York State, to create an online course on the impacts of social media and technology on young people. You can take the course for free at Positive Youth Development 101. Here’s a video highlight from the course:
To help translate our work for people who can use it, we maintain both a research blog and the Sharing and Social Media Research Group (ShareSoMe) website. Here, we publish accessible materials relating to online behavior, privacy, self-disclosure, health, and well-being, especially among young people and other understudied populations.
